Dorothy (Houde) Souza

Dorothy (Houde) Souza, 77, of William St., Fall River, formerly of Watuppa Heights, widow of Joseph Souza, died Monday, October 28, 2013. A homemaker, she was active with the Police Athletic Leage and was a member of the Fall River Auxiliary Police, past-president of Post 486, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Past Junior Vice President of the Massachusetts VFW Auxiliary. She leaves 8 children, Bruce Souza (wife JoAnn), Wayne Souza, Sr. (wife Diane), Richard Souza (wife Daisy), John Souza (wife Judith), Debra Finch (husband Darwin), Florence Humphreys (husband Christopher) and Brenda Francisco, all of Fall River and Mark Souza (wife Lisa) of Swansea; many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Foley of Fall River and Delores Arant of LA and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Houde and Irene (Thibault) Houde Levesque and the sister of the late Pauline Maynard and Arthur, Robert and Donald Houde. Her funeral will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a funeral mass at Holy Cross Church of Saints Peter and Paul Parish at 11:00 AM. Burial, Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visitation, Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
