Dorothy E. Mlynek (Fitzgerald) Sliwa

Dorothy (Fitzgerald) Mlynek Sliwa, 92, of Fall River, wife of the late Joseph Mlynek and the late Walter Sliwa, passed away, Saturday, May 20, 2017.

She was an active member of the former Immaculate Conception Parish where she taught CCD, was a Bingo volunteer, a member of the Choir and the Women's Guild and a Marian Medal recipient. She enjoyed bingo and gardening.

She leaves four children, Joan Verville and her husband Alfred of Westport, Nancy Jalbert and her husband Albert, Joseph Mlynek and his wife Carol and Stephen Mlynek and his wife Ann, all of Fall River; grandchildren, Michelle Rapoza (Randy), Nanette Nadeau (Dennis), Claude Verville (Kathy), Diane Cordeiro, Joseph Mlynek (Elizabeth), Colleen Laliberte (Philip) and William Jalbert (Susan); many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late William Edward and Sarah Ellen (Platt) Fitzgerald and the sister of the late Alice Paulo and John, James, Francis, Herbert and Louis Fitzgerald.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at the St. Margaret Mary Chapel of Catholic Memorial Home at 10:30 AM. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery.

Visitation, Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River MA 02720.
