Dorothy T. Mc (Hughes) Hugh

Dorothy T. (Hughes) Mc Hugh, 99, formerly residing at County Gardens Nursing Home, Swansea for the last several years passed away on April 6th, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Hall) Hughes. Dorothy was a homemaker and married for twenty six years to Frederick R. Mc Hugh. Upon his death she worked for Standard Linen for ten years prior to retirement. Dorothy is survived by a son, Michael F. Mc Hugh and his wife Muriel of Somerset, two granddaughters, Melissa Reis and her husband Matthew of Swansea and Kerri Aguiar of Fall River, four great-grandchildren, Autumn Medeiros, Kailie and Braeden Reis of Swansea, Cody Aguiar of Somerset, along with several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was the sister of the late Ellen Overbury, Thomas and Raymond Hughes. Her kind and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her. A special thanks to the staff at CMH and Country Gardens Nursing Home for the care and professionalism show to Dorothy. Dorothy's funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S. Main St. Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Mary Cathedral, at 10:00 a.m. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation prior to funeral from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
