Dorothy Faria

Dorothy (Costa) Faria, 79, of Fall River, wife of Eleuterio "Teddy" Faria, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018.

She and her husband owned and operated Maplewood Superette, Stafford Rd., Fall River, for 32 years. A member of the ILGWU, she also worked for Royal Garment. She was an avid crafter, baker and enjoyed spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

Besides her husband of 59 years, she leaves five children, Elizabeth Dunn and her husband Robert of Berkley, Brenda Schieri and her husband Vincent of Fall River, Susan Nicolau and her husband David of South Windsor, CT, Bryan Faria and his wife Katherine of Texas, and Tricia Faria and her companion Joe Resendes of Fall River; seven grandchildren, Shauna Dunn Baker and her husband Keith, Ryan Dunn, Samantha Nicolau, Elizabeth Faria, Joshua Treeful, Madeline Faria and Jacob Faria; three great-grandchildren, Jack Baker, Jameson Dunn and Sierra Baker; two sisters, Evelyn Frazer and Natalie Silva both of Fall River and many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Costa and Alice (Botelho) Costa and the sister of the late Madeline Mello, Alice Medeiros, and Alfred, Manuel, Edward "Barry", Joseph, John, David, Bento and Louis Costa.

Her funeral will be held Friday, July 27 at 9:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a funeral mass at 10:00 AM at St. Theresa Church, Tiverton. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery.
