Doris "Dot" (Picard) Monast, 92, of Monarch St., Fall River, widow of Rene C. Monast, died Friday, April 3, 2009.
She and her late husband owned and operated the former Monarch Appliance for many years. She was a member of the Notre Dame Parish Choir.
She was the mother of Dennis Monast (wife Diane) of Berkley and the late Susan Booth; the grandmother of Jeremy, Jared and Joshua Monast, Kristopher and Jonathan Booth and the late Matthew Booth; the great-grandmother of Haley Rose, Cameron James and Peyton Elizabeth Monast and Colin Jacob and Madison Booth; the daughter of the late Edmond and Dorilla (Desmarais) Picard and the sister of Clarence Picard and the late Lionel and Roland Picard.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 10:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
