Doris L. (Cote) Gamache

Doris L. (Cote) Gamache, 91, of Westport, formerly of Fall River, widow of Hilaire J. "Eli" Gamache, died Monday, June 30, 2014 surrounded by her family. A member of ILGWU-UNITE, she was employed by the Harlee and Whittenton manufacturing companies. She cherished being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, enjoyed ceramics and had a keen interest in following local and world news. She leaves 2 daughters, Janine P. Benevides and her husband Richard and Susan L. Gamache, all of Westport; grandchildren, Kerri A. Nunes and her husband Glenn, Stacie A. Belanger and her husband Noel and Todd R. Benevides and his fiancée Fatima Cabral; great-granddaughters, Emma Daisy Benevides, Molly Rose Belanger and Sydney Rose Belanger and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Eddie J. and Melina (Quesnel) Cote and the sister of the late George, Rita and Edward Cote and Gertrude Montmagny. Following cremation, her funeral mass will be held Saturday July 12 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church, Fall River. Visitation and flowers omitted.
