Doris (Brodeur) Helger

Doris B. "Dot" (Brodeur) Helger, 88, of Tiverton, wife of the late Edward A. Helger, entered into rest Tuesday, September 13, 2016. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed family gatherings, crocheting, puzzles and helping her family on Helger's Farm.

She leaves seven children, Ann Reynolds (Jeffrey) and Jane Callahan (Daniel), all of Westport, Beth Turcotte (Scott) of Little Compton, Pauline Henderson (Tim) of Maine, Edward J. Helger (Darlene) of Fall River and Russell Helger (Brenda) and Ronald Helger (Marjorie), all of Tiverton; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister; Germaine Brodeur of Tiverton and many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Gelinas) Brodeur and the sister of the late Theresa Sleeper, Juliette Conway, Rose Cote-Teal, Beatrice Ouellette and Alfred, Armand, Gerard, Louise and Albert "Butch" Brodeur.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, Tiverton, at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Hillside Cemetery, Tiverton.

Visitation, Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Assn., 480 Pleasant St., Watertown MA 02472.
