Doris C. (St. Pierre) Gaudreau

Doris C. Gaudreau, 95, of Swansea, wife of the late Raymond Gaudreau, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Home.

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Hormisdas J. St Pierre and Rhea (Melanson) St. Pierre, she lived most of her life in Swansea.

Mrs. Gaudreau was a beautician and proprietor of the former Doris Gaudreau Beauty Salon, Fall River. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 303, Swansea and the Catholic Women's Club of St. Michael Church and had been active in Brownie and Girl Scouting as a committee woman. She also was a volunteer worker for the Swansea Red Cross blood drives and the Swansea Ambulance Corps. Mrs. Gaudreau was a member of the Bread of Life prayer group and had been a coordinator of Living Waters prayer group. She was a Confraternity of Christian Doctrine teacher for several years and had been a substitute teacher at the former St. Michael, School, Swansea. A parishoner of St. Michael Church and St. Francis Assissi Church, Swansea, she was an extraordinary Eucharistic Minister, Eucharisitic Minister to the Sick and Lector of both parishes. In 1988 she was presented the Marian Medal of the Diocese of Fall River.

She leaves a son, Paul R. Gaudreau (wife Stacey) and a sister Claire E. St. Pierre all of Swansea. She was the mother of the late Dr. Denise C. Gaudreau.
