Doris (Richotte) Bessette

Doris (Richotte) Bessette, 84, of Spencer St., Fall River, widow of Aime Bessette, died Saturday, April 6, 2013 surrounded by her family and friends. A member of ILGWU-UNITE, she was employed by Louis Hand Manufacturing and Swan Finishing Co. A maker and avid collector or dolls, she was the recipient of numerous awards in the art of doll making. She leaves a son, Nelson J. "Buz" Bessette and his wife Linda of Fall River; a granddaughter, Amanda Rose Abbott and her husband Michael of Cary, NC; a sister, Lillian Snizek of Fall River; nieces, nephews and her devoted friend Joan Fielding. She was the daughter of the late Wilfred Richotte and Alpheda (Gagne) Richotte Ethier and the sister of the late Ernest Richotte and Jeannette Rozycki Charron. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Trinity Church at 9:30 AM. Cremation to follow.
