Donald J. Silvia

Donald J. Silvia, 77, of Stafford Rd., Fall River, formerly of Bowler St., husband of Therese (Potvin) Silvia, died Thursday, April 8, 2010. He was employed by Colonial Provisions, Bonner Florist, Ray's Flower Shop and several area gasoline service stations. He served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. Besides his wife of 55 years, he leaves 2 children, Donna Souza and her husband Michael and Marc Silvia and his wife Melissa, all of Fall River; 2 grandchildren, Matthew Souza and Alyssa Silvia; a brother, Kenneth Silvia of Fall River, and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Timothy Silvia; the son of the late John Silvia and Esther (Akins) Silvia Ferreira and the brother of the late John Silvia and Shirley Miranda. A funeral mass will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM in Holy Trinity Church. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation and flowers omitted.
