Donald J. Rioux

Donald J. Rioux, 67, of Westport, passed into eternal life surrounded by family on Thursday, March 16, 2023.

In 1989, he became an employee of Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport. Donald traveled the world with the Torpedo Recovery Team before his retirement in 2019. A knowledgeable sports fan, Donald also played baseball and softball.

He enjoyed going to the gym.  Some of his favorite places he traveled to were The Bahamas, and Guam.

Donald leaves two children, Amanda Rioux and Derek Rioux; a beloved grandson, Noah Rioux; former wife Carole (Place) Rioux; four siblings, Dennis Carlson-Rioux (wife Joyce), Darlene Rioux, David Rioux (wife Diane) and Dorine Cote (husband Donald);

many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was the son of the late Philippe “Minou” Rioux, Jr. and Gloria “GLA” (LeBrun) Rioux.

A visitation will be held Sunday, March 19, from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M in the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St, Fall River.
