Donald J. Marchand

Donald J. Marchand, 79, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born on May 15, 1945, in Fall River.

Donald was the former owner of H.I.M, Inc. of Fall River. Prior to this, he applied his skills as an auctioneer in Texas, an experience that reflected his passion for the art of buying and selling. Donald had a particular love for flea markets, where he thrived in discovering treasures and engaging with fellow enthusiasts.

Together with his wife Claudette, to whom he was married for an enduring 58 years, found joy in attending concerts, visiting casinos, and spending time together where laughter and companionship filled their evenings. They spent many great years living in Texas and Florida.

Donald leaves his two daughters, Celeste Thibeault (her husband Normand) and their children Ryan Thibeault (wife Ashley) and Nichole Fowler (husband Mike Riggilo) , and daughter Tracy Rousseau (her husband Leo) and their children Justin Araujo (fiancee Tori Rovito) and Krystal Arajuo (boyfriend Matthew); and a son, Wayne Marchand.

He also leaves his great grandchildren Kylie and Noah Fowler.

Donald was the son of the late Wilfred and Margaret (Rogers) Marchand and the brother of the late Roland Marchand, all of whom he held close in his heart.
