Donald J. Lariviere, 58, of Lewis St., Fall River, died Sunday, May 14, 2006, at home.
He was the husband of Darlene (Mello) Lariviere.
Born in Ozone Park, New York, the son of the late Roland and Margaret (O'Brien) Lariviere, he lived in Fall River most of his life.
An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a truck driver for the Fall River Public Works Department for 27 years and a mechanic for Sears, Roebuck and Company for many years.
Besides his wife of 18 years, survivors include
2 daughters, Krystin Lariviere of Fall River and Heather Souza and her husband Ryan of Dartmouth;
a brother, Roland Lariviere of Millbury, MA;
7 sisters, Margaret Lima, Dianne Raposa, June DeMello, Patricia Furtado, Rita Grandfield, Barbara Lariviere and Theresa Lariviere, all of Fall River;
a granddaughter, Bryanna Souza;
his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alfred and Jeannette (St.Laurent) Mello of Fall River
and nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM.
Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
Calling hours Tuesday 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
