Donald R. "Bobby" Chabot, 77, of Quequechan St., Fall River, formerly of Ridge St., husband of Lorraine "Lori" (King) Silvia Chabot and husband of the late Claudette (Gaudreau) Chabot, died Saturday, December 8, 2007.
The son of the late Roland and Rosealma (Beaulieu) Chabot, he was employed by Harvey Probber Manufacturing, was advertising manager for United Liquors, employed by the Massachusetts Highway Department and co-owned and operated the Ringside Café, Pleasant St. Past-president of the Dover Club, he served in the Navy and was New England Golden Gloves champion and US Navy Boxing Team champion.
Besides his wife of 36 years, he leaves, 4 children, Renee Desrosiers and Rochelle Ponte, both of Fall River; Steven Chabot of New Port Richey, Florida and Eric Chabot and his wife Brenda of Brockton; stepsons, Michael Silvia, Jeffrey Silvia and his wife Julie and James Silvia and his wife Paula, all of Fall River; siblings, Roland Chabot of Rutland, VT, Juliette "Bella" Boudria of Wilmington, NC., Doris Snyder of Taunton and Jeannette McGrath of Westport; 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Lisa Marie Chabot.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 10:00 AM. Cremation to follow.
Visitation, Monday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Palliative Care, 502 Bedford St., Fall River MA 02720 or Hudner Oncology Center, 795 Middle St., Fall River MA 02721.
