Diane M. Reading

Diane M. (Owens) Reading, 54, of 130 Canal St., Fall River, formerly of Buffinton St., died Sunday, October 9, 2005 at Saint Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of Joseph A. Reading, Sr. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late George and Irene (Aguiar) Owens, she lived in Tiverton for many years. She was employed by Duro Finishing, Sarama Lighting and Jackson Paper Tube Mfg. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and was a collector of porcelain dolls and Disney memorabilia. Besides her husband of 13 years survivors include her godmother, who raised her, Sophie Figerie of Tiverton; 2 sisters, Patricia Fournier of Tiverton and Eugenia Jordan of Fall River; 3 brothers, Gilbert Owens of New Bedford, Steven Arruda of Fall River and Anthony Arruda of Boston; a stepson, Joseph A. Reading, Jr. of Fall River; 5 grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Shawn Rose. Calling hours Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, followed by a funeral service at 7:30. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance to the rear of funeral home. Cremation to follow. Please omit flowers.
