Diane Martin

Diane M.( Ibbitson) Martin, 55, of Delmage Road, Swansea, formerly of Pine Hill Road, Westport, died Thursday at St. Anne Hospital. She was the wife of David Martin. Born in Florida, the daughter of the late Ira Ibbitson and the late Roberta (Nickerson) Ibbitson-Berkey, she lived in Swansea for the past 3 years. She was employed as a long haul truck driver and had worked for U.E.S. Transport, Westport. She also worked for Martin's Cheese Co., Westport. She was a devoted foster mother for many years. Besides her husband of 11 years, she is survived by 3 children, Richard Correia of Fall River, Gene Correia of Portsmouth, RI and Lisa Correia of Little Compton; 3 foster children, William Mills of Fall River and Patrick Carter and Justin Nessler, both of Swansea; 2 brothers, Frederick Ibbitson of Argyle, Maine and Steven Ibbitson of Brentwood, N.H; 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Patricia L. Tanguay. Visitation Sunday from 1-4 p.m. in AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St. Fall River. Cremation to follow.
