Diane J. Birtwistle

Diane J. Birtwistle, entered into rest to be with the Lord, December 16, 2013, surrounded by family at the Philip Hulitar Hospice In Patient Center, Providence, RI. She was the daughter of the late George Charles Ouimet and Beatrice Marie Louise (Savoie) Ouimet. Diane was a graduate of the former Jesus Mary Academy in Fall River and Northeastern University Boston. She was a radiological technologist. Creative in handcrafts and needlepoint she also enjoyed reading and on occasion wrote contributing articles and pieces on gardening and historical news. Diane was well known as an accomplished vocalist. She is survived by a son Richard Birtwistle IV and his wife Audra Birtwistle and a grandson Mason Tyler Birtwistle all of Muskegon Michigan; a sister, Mrs. Donald (Francine) Ouellette of Westport, and a nephew Dr. Nicholas Ouimet Ouellette. Per her wishes her funeral was private attended by immediate family. A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Bernadette's Church in Fall River. Interment was in Notre Dame Cemetery.
