Diana A. Sanders

Diana A. (Arruda) Sanders, 65, of New Bedford, formerly of Fall River, died Thursday, March 24, 2016. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Loretta (Deslauriers) Arruda. Diana was a kindhearted woman, who always looked for ways to help anyone in need. She touched many lives with her loving, caring way. She enjoyed spending time with her family and absolutely adored her grandchildren. Diana also loved singing, dancing, sewing and shopping. She leaves her former husband, Michael Sanders of South Dartmouth, three daughters, Pamela Alston (husband Joseph) of Somerset, Melissa Sanders of Somerset and Cherie Wallace (husband James of Fitchburg, MA, seven grandchildren, Shane, Mackaulay, Tadei, Chad, Alexis, Amanda and Zachary, two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Lucas, two siblings, Patricia Kresowaty and Kenneth Arruda, both of Fall River, nieces and nephews Her funeral will be held Tuesday at a 9:00 a.m. from Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River, with a funeral mass at Saint Anne Church Shrine, South Main St., at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Rd. Fall River.
