Derek Wayne DaSilva

Derek Wayne DaSilva, 61, has fallen asleep in death on January 25, 2025. He was the loving and devoted husband of Lisa Joan (Gabourel) DaSilva.

Originally form Wareham, MA, Derek was devoted to his religion. He was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. His favorite form of worship was to write letters to our neighbors or to do public witnessing with our literature carts.

Upon marrying Lisa, he became an instant father and grandfather.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his Papa, Robert Silva, two sisters, Loreen Evans (husband Rob), and Lisa Ayala; two brothers, Antone Silva, and Robert DaSilva (wife Kyle); three stepchildren, Damien Gabourel (wife Celia), Marissa Robinson (husband Leroy), and Stephen Burns. He also had seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was the son of the late Antone DaSilva and Joan (Lombard) Silva

Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service on Saturday, March 1, 2025, 3:00PM Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 615 Fish Rd. Tiverton, RI. There will also be a zoom service available. Please private message Lisa DaSilva for the zoom information.
