Dennis Read

Dennis Read, 73, Swansea, husband of Peggy Read passed away January 29, 2021.

Dennis attended Case High School and graduated from Bryant College in 1972 with a degree in Business Administration. He owned and operated Read Insurance & Financial Services for over 32 years. Dennis was past President and member of the St. Bernard's SVDP Society for many years. He also served as a Board Member for People Incorporated for several years. Dennis was an avid golfer, winner of the 1972 RI Four-ball Championship and longtime member of Crestwood Country Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his wife of 43 years, he leaves one son Jonathan Read (wife Elizabeth) of Berkley; two granddaughters, Ja-nelee and Amberlyn, along with several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Louis and Olive Read.

A Funeral will be held Friday at 11AM at St. Bernard's Church, Assonet. MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH. Burial, Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea.

A visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Face coverings and social distancing required.
