Dennis E. Mathieu

Dennis E. Mathieu, 59, of Fall River, husband of Joane (Martin) Mathieu, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at home, surrounded by his family. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member of the Fall River Fire Department for 27 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and gardening. Besides his wife of 33 years, he leaves 3 children, Kerrie L. Mathieu, Peter J. Mathieu and Jennifer M. Mathieu, all of Fall River; siblings, Jacqueline Mathieu of New Bedford, Diane Figuerado of Swansea, and William P. Mathieu of Somerset. He was the son of the late William P. and Eva (Ouellette) Mathieu. His funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Cross Church of Saints Peter and Paul Parish at 11:00 AM. Cremation to follow. Visitation, Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
