Dennis J. DeSouto, 71, tragically and unexpectedly passed away on February 19, 2025. Born in Fall River on September 14, 1953, Dennis was the son of Juiliette Rapoza and Dennis DeSouto, raised by his mother and stepfather Virginio Rapoza. A kind and hardworking husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, Dennis was a family man in every sense. His unconditional and limitless love was and will forever be felt in the hearts of those he treasured: wife of 46 years Gail DeSouto; son Adam DeSouto and daughter-in-law Michelle; daughter Rachel DeSouto; son David DeSouto; four granddaughters Keidrah Finch; Ava DeSouto; Kailauni Wactor, and Audrey DeSouto, as well as his siblings: Madeline Ozug; Donna Oliver and brother-in-law Steven; Michael Rapoza and sister-in-law Donna; Bruce Rapoza and sister-in-law Simone; Joseph Rapoza and sister-in-law Kathleen; Teresa Fortin and brother-in-law Gary, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Dennis's visitation will be held Saturday, March 1st, from 11:00A.M. to 4:00 P.M., at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S Main St, Fall River.
Strong and wise, Dennis was a man of many talents and unbridled curiosity. He took tremendous pride in his work as a master carpenter and woodworker, and found time for many other passions and hobbies. Athletic in his youth, an avid outdoorsman, marksman, archer, pool shark, lover of history, music, and film, Dennis was a true Renaissance man. He passed these many interests onto his children, and always made sure he got involved whether it was as a coach or a Scoutmaster. We will cherish these memories and remember everything he taught us until we see him again. For now, he is reunited with his mother, Juliette, who sadly passed three weeks prior, in eternal peace.
