Denise Y. (Gagnon) Dufour

Denise Y. (Gagnon) Dufour, 88, formerly of Suffolk St., Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021. She was the widow of Paul A. Dufour.

Born in Rivière-du-Loup, PQ, Canada, the daughter of the late Ovide and Marie Jeanne (Bernier) Gagnon, she resided in Fall River since 1954.

She was the sister–in-law of the late Roger P. Dufour, Sr., Yvette Proulx and Rev. Clement E. Dufour and was the sister of Benoit Gagnon, Lorraine Gagnon, Lisette Aube and Normande Morin.

A member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, she was employed by Linsay Manufacturing Company for many years. She was a member of Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of the former St. Mathieu Parish, which was founded in the late 1800s as the third French parish in Fall River (after St. Anne and Notre Dame de Lourdes).

Her funeral was private. Interment was in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
