Our sweet Nana went home to Jesus on Sunday afternoon (May 8, 2022). Born in Elkin, North Carolina to Elzie Elbert and Myrtle Hampton Sprinkle, Delitha “Coe” was second to youngest and the last surviving of ten siblings: Thomas, Ralph, Catherine “Dotsie”, Sam, Leslie, Jack, Luck, Barbara, and a sister who died in infancy. She is survived by her son Alan and his wife Ruth Holland, her daughter Martha Tozier (widow of Neil Tozier), and her daughter-in-law Suzanne Gendreau. She was also mother of the deceased Ronald Jeff Gendreau.
Coe is survived by seven grandchildren: Talitha (Russel) Pacheco, Larry Tozier, Allison and Alexander Gendreau, Brittnay (Andre) Cruz, Ryan (Juliana) Gendreau, and Jeff Gendreau. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren: Joseph, Tyler, and Olivia Pacheco; Harper (and siblings on the way) Cruz; Lilah & Savannah Gendreau. Coe was a sweet and caring woman who enjoyed working as a secretary and hostess in various locations. Above all, she loved her church. Wherever she lived she found a church she loved and served in. She was a choir member for many years. “In The Garden” was her favorite hymn throughout her life and brought a smile to her face not long before she left us to embrace her Savior.
