David D. Martel

David D. Martel, 52, of Fall River, husband of Tracy (Cowen) Martel, and son of Richard "Dick" Martel of Fall River, and the late Mary "Del" (Desrosiers) Martel, died Thursday, December 15, 2011. He was employed by Frosty Beverage Co. and Stop & Shop, and was a photo specialist at Wal-Mart, Swansea and Seekonk. An avid bingo player and champion ten-pin bowler, he was awarded three USBC-sanctioned 300 game rings, a 299 ring, and a 298 ring. Besides his wife of 28 years and father, he leaves 4 children, Joshua D. Martel and his wife Jennifer, Matthew D. Martel, Zachary R. Martel, and Rebecca A. Martel, all of Fall River; a grandson, Miles M. Martel; siblings, Brian Martel of Suffolk, VA, and Suzanne Cambra, Jeanne Robidoux, Richard Martel, Diane Frazer and Thomas Martel, all of Fall River; and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Russell Martel and Bernadette Viveiros. Visitation in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, with a funeral service at 7:00 PM. Cremation to follow. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
