Daniel D. Paquette

Daniel D. Paquette, 94, of North Dartmouth, MA formerly of Fall River, husband of Marguerite V. (Desrochers) Paquette, died Friday, April 10, 2015. A WW II Army Corporal, he was Honorably Discharged from military service of the United States of America on March 7, 1946. He was employed at Berkshire Hathaway Manufacturing prior to his military service and returned to their employment as Office Payroll Manager then advancing to Employment Manager until 1970. He then was employed by the US Postal Service in Fall River until his retirement. A self taught master craftsman, he was a member of the former Blessed Sacrament Parish and the Somerset Seniors Bowling League. He enjoyed many hobbies such as photography, woodworking and coin/stamp collecting. Besides his wife of 62 years, he leaves three children, Daniel L. Paquette (Eva and son Jeremy) of Tiverton, Suzanne C. Ellinwood (Cal) of Assonet and David E. Paquette of Fall River; a granddaughter Kori Ellinwood Medeiros (Derek), and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Hormidas and Alice (Gardner) Paquette and the brother of the late Simone Bourgeois, Germaine LeComte, Collette Levasseur and Charles Paquette who was his brother and best friend. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Theresa Church, Tiverton, at 12:00 noon. Burial will be private. Visitation, Tuesday morning prior to the funeral from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. LARGE PARKING AREA & BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Assn., 480 Pleasant St., Watertown MA 02472.
