Daniel M. Costa

Daniel M. Costa, 73, of Fall River, husband of Irene M. Costa, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Saint Anne’s Hospital, Fall River, Massachusetts.

Born in Ponta Garça, São Miguel, Açores, he served in the Portuguese Army in Angola. He was a manager at Jimtex Fabrics, Fall River and previously worked as a mason.

Daniel was a devoted husband and father. A genuinely self made man who was very business savvy . He wrote his own rules and paved his own way. Daniel was known for his entertaining stories , which he loved to repeat often. He was an avid gardener and his own handyman. He devoted all his time and energy into his family . Daniel had an ability to reach people in such a deep way. His charm will be missed. May he rest in eternal peace.

Besides his wife of 49 years, he leaves four children, Daniel Costa, Jr. (wife Suzanne),Norberto Costa, Elaine (spouse Tommy Borges) and Catherine Costa (spouse Adam Correia); six grandchildren; Daniel Costa III, Devon Kirkman , Zachary Costa, Dannielynn and Katelynn Costa and Cameron James Costa; four siblings; Madelena Moniz, Fernanda Moniz, Norbert Morais and Marie Kirkman, and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late James Costa, and the son of the late Gilberto Costa Morais and Piedade (Medeiros) Morais.

A visitation will be held Thursday, May 13, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. in Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.

His funeral will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at  9:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Cathedral, Spring St. Fall River at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Rd.

All family and friends are welcome and Covid protocols will be followed, such as face coverings and social distancing.
