Daniel J. "Red" Cahill

Daniel J. "Red" Cahill, 89, of Howland St., Fall River, husband of Theresa "Terry" (Lafontaine) Cahill, died Sunday, February 9, 2014. He was employed by Somerset Tire & Supply, Shaset's Auto Supply and Battleship Cove and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Tiverton, Bayview Holy Ghost Club and the P T Boat Museum. Besides his wife of 63 years, he leaves sons, James J. "Jimmy" Cahill, Sgt. FRPD, Ret. and his wife Donna, Charles J. "Chuck" Cahill and Joseph J. "Jay" Cahill, all of Fall River; granddaughters, Nicole M. "Nikki" Cahill and her fiancé Jonathan Low of Nashua, NH and Kaitlin A. ‘Katie" Cahill and her significant other Robert Freitas of Fall River; a great-grandson, Noah M. Freitas and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late James and Gertrude (Collins) Cahill and the brother of the late Joseph, James, John, Paul and Edward Cahill, Helen Oliver, Margaret Paquin and Gertrude Shepard. His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
