Corinne M. (Lemaire) Demers

Corinne M. (Lemaire) Demers, 90, of Rehoboth, formerly of Anthony St. and So. Main St., Fall River, wife of 47 years of the late Jean H. Demers, died peacefully in Somerset, following a brief illness, Wednesday, October 29, 2008. A seamstress, she was employed by Silas Brown, Westport and several area companies. She was a Eucharistic minister at Saint Anne's Hospital and Blessed Sacrament Church and Holy Trinity Church and designed and tailored altar cloths and priests' albs and stoles. She leaves 5 children, Monique Waters and her husband John of Florida, Henri A. Demers and his wife Meryl of New York, Charles R. Demers and his wife Vivian of Somerset, Michelle Demers and her husband Michael Quaid of Vermont and Marc G. Demers and his wife Anna Brocato of Malaysia; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Gilbert Lemaire of Fall River and Brother Armand Lemaire, A.A. of Worcester, and many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lucie (Thibault) Lemaire and the sister of the late Andre and Denis Lemaire and Pauline Cousineau. Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Louis de France Church, Swansea at 10:00 AM. Cremation to follow.
