Colette (Berube) Fillion

Colette (Berube) Fillion, 86, of San Diego, California, formerly of Fall River, wife of the late Raymond Fillion, entered into rest Wednesday, June 1, 2016.

A member of the Dominican Academy, Class of 1947, she graduated from Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing in 1952 and nursed in the hospital setting and private practice. A concert pianist, she performed in many fundraising concerts for children. She enjoyed traveling and visiting with her loving sisters.

She leaves five children, Paulette Fillion, Denise Lentini, Michelle Johnson, Raymond Fillion and Annette Ramos; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Santore Caya of Fall River and Beatrice Fillion Rowe of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Eugenie (Laroche) Berube and the sister of the late Rita Pelchat and Joseph and Roger Berube.

She will be remembered at the 4:00 p.m. mass at St. Mary Cathedral on Saturday, August 20. Relatives and friends invited.
