Clotilde "Tillie" (Medeiros) Costa

Clotilde "Tillie" (Medeiros) Costa, 95, of Fall River, wife of the late Benjamin "Benny" Costa, entered into rest Monday, June 20, 2016.

A member of Amalgamated Garment Workers Union, now UNITE, she was employed in New Bedford's garment industry for 46 years. In retirement she loved to sew and cook for everyone and enjoyed "yard sailing" with her friends.

She leaves a daughter, Agnes Croteau and her husband William of North Dartmouth; two grandchildren, Christine Croteau and Michael Croteau and his wife Barbara and great-grandchildren, Michael and Alexandria Croteau, all of Fall River; a brother, Daniel Medeiros and his wife Patricia of New Bedford and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Hypolito and Maria (Medeiros) Carvalho and the sister of the late Hazel Ambrose, Armand Carvalho and William, Lena, Irene and Frank Medeiros.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Good Shepherd Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery.

Visitation, Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. "A special thank you to the caregivers and friends at the Kindred Transitional Care and Nursing Center".
