Clotilde C. (Lopes) Amarelo

Clotilde C. (Lopes) Amarelo, 76, of Fall River, wife of Manuel C. Amarelo, entered into rest Sunday, October 11, 2015. She was a former employee of Arkay Pants, Darwood Manufacturing, Anderson Little and Quaker Fabrics. A member of Good Shepherd Parish, she was an active volunteer, Eucharistic Minister and Choir member. Besides her husband of 55 years, she leaves two sons, Gualter Amarelo (Anna Medeiros) and Paul Amarelo (Christine), all of Fall River; grandchildren, Gualter Amarelo, Jr., Joshua Amarelo and Jacob and Benjamin Carvalho; a sister, Maria DaSilva of Fall River; godchildren, Marie, Tony and Julie and many nieces and nephews. Born in Arrifes, Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Teodora Lopes and the sister of the late Duarte, Arsenio, Daciel and Luis Lopes. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Good Shepherd Church at 9:00 a.m. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation, Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
