Clifford T. Sears

Clifford T. Sears, 81, of Fall River, husband of Kathleen T. (Hughes) Sears, died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 10, 2013. A chef, he was employed by Juniors Restaurant, Miami Beach, FL, Howard Johnson's, Monrovia, CA and Middletown, RI, and Eileen Darlings, Seekonk. A graduate of Diman Regional High School, he was a member of the varsity football team. Married in 1951 in St. Patrick Church, Fall River, he reaffirmed his marriage vows for time and eternity in the Mormon Temple, Washington, DC in 1972. He served as a high priest of the Mormon church, South Coast Ward, Dartmouth and was in the bishopric for the Newport Ward. Besides his wife of 61 years, he leaves four children, Thomas C. Sears (wife Rhoda) of Elizabeth, CO, William E. Sears (wife Sabine) of Yarmouth, ME, John R. Sears of Fall River and Kathleen L. Banuelos of Fall River; a sister, Donna Kozusko of Providence; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Hope Silva, Creighton, Leonard and Robert Sears. His funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 400 Cross Rd. Dartmouth. There will be a viewing in the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 prior to service in church. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Prospect St., Fall River. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 400 Cross Rd. Dartmouth. Arrangements by AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, Fall River.
