Clifford W. "Cliffy" Bell, 56, retired Fall River Police Officer, of Hyde St., Fall River, husband of Susan "Sue" (Botelho) Bell and son of Russell and Barbara (Spooner) Bell of Fall River, died Thursday, August 21, 2008. An Air Force veteran, he was a 28 year member of the Fall River Police Department. An avid golfer and Patriots fan, he was a member of the Police Relief Assn. and American Legion, Swansea. Besides his wife of 34 years and parents, he leaves 2 children Christopher W. Bell and his wife Melissa and Stefanie J. Bell, all of Fall River; grandchildren, Taylor, MacKenzie and Adam Bell; a brother, Wayne Bell and his wife Jeanne of So. Attleboro and his father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Gertrude (Caisse) Botelho of Somerset. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral service in Church of Our Savior, County St., Somerset at 11:15 am. Burial, Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visitation, Monday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to Diabetes Assn., PO Box 1525, Fall River MA 02722.
