Claire A. (Champoux) Murphy

Claire A. (Champoux) Murphy, 82, of Locust St., Fall River, wife of James E. Murphy, died peacefully Saturday, November 28, 2009. While living in New York City she had been employed by Associated Credit Bureau and more recently Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River. Besides her husband of 60 years, she leaves a daughter, Michel Daley and her husband James of North Kingstown, RI; a granddaughter, Megan and her husband Christopher Whelan of South Buffalo, NY; two great-grandchildren, Molly Claire and Andrew James Whelan and many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Gallagher) Champoux and the sister of the late Albert, Raymond and Robert Champoux, Vera Harney, Leona Wood, Lorraine Duffy and Estelle LaForest. Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held Saturday, December 5, at 10: AM in Sacred Heart Church. Visitation and flowers omitted.
