Cindy "Mommo" (Gondela) Arruda

Cindy (Gondela) Arruda, "Mommo" 66, of Fall River, daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy Gondela died peacefully Wednesday May 14, 2014 while surrounded by her children and sisters. She was the widow of William J. Arruda. Cindy enjoyed bingo and slots at Foxwoods, playing scrabble with a worthy opponent, shopping with her grandchildren, and she was a passionate Red Sox fan. Nothing was more important to her than the love she had for her grand-babies… Sadly Cindy leaves behind her 2 daughters, Rachel A. Berube, and her husband Michael R. Berube Sr. her son-in-law whom she loved dearly and her youngest daughter Renee Piper Brown all of Fall River. She was the cherished "Mommo" to the late Aymayndia Allisa Parandelis "My chubby little bunny", Kaitlin H. Berube, Angel Christine Lynn, Amber Rose Ferreira, and Courtnie Rae Brown, and she was the "Great" Mommo" to Jade Marie. She also leaves her 3 sisters Sandy Pelland and her husband John "Phil" Pelland of Somerset, Norma Roseth, and Linda Gondela both of Fall River; she leaves nieces and nephews, close friends, and her beloved cat "Blue". Following cremation her funeral service will be held Saturday May 24 at 1:00 PM at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St. Fall River. Visitation, Saturday prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA SMALL AND LARGE BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of the funeral home. Please omit flowers.
