Chizuko (Morikawa) Sheldon

Chizuko Sheldon, 91 of Fall River, MA peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022
after a brief illness.
“Chico” was born July 1932 in Japanese occupied Darien, Manchuria. She was the daughter of the late Shoji and Yuki (Morita) Morikawa.
Chizuko was born in Darien, Manchuria during the occupation by Japan. Upon returning to
Japan after the war, she received her certificate of cosmetology & was a hairdresser for over 50
years.
After Ralph retired from the Army, they settled in Shirley, MA for over 30 years. She was the
owner of Chico’s Beauty Salon for over 10 years.
She is survived by her son John Sheldon (wife Cynthia) of Apex, NC, Charles Sheldon (wife
Elizabeth) of Shirley, MA, Debra (Sheldon) Saucier of Fall River, MA, grandchildren Morgan
Sheldon of Apex, NC, Paul Saucier, Ryan Saucier and Isabelle Saucier all of Fall River, MA and
several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased, by her husband of 66 years Ralph Milton Sheldon, her children Cindy
Sheldon, Robert Sheldon and Paul Sheldon as well as all her siblings, Tsuneya Morikawa,
Toshiko Inohira and Hiroya Morikawa.
She will be buried with her husband Ralph at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.
