Cecile B. (Levesque) Chicca, 88, of Somerset, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023.
Cecile was educated at Dominican Academy and Bristol Community College where she studied accounting.
A bookkeeper and tax professional for her entire career she was employed by various businesses in the Fall River area. In retirement she worked part time for H&R Block.
As a parishioner of St. Thomas More Church, Somerset, she was a Eucharistic Minister and volunteered her time at Charlton Memorial Hospital, giving Holy Communion to the sick.
She was awarded the Marian Medal that recognizes members of diocesan parishes for their dedicated service to the Church.
She loved hosting family dinners, was an avid league bowler in Westport and played bocce at the VFW, Somerset.
She leaves a son, Dana Chicca of Somerset, a sister, Bernadette Noella Albernaz of Fall River and many nieces and nephews. Cecile was the former wife of the late Edward L. Chicca; daughter of the late Alfred and Marie Louise (Jalbert) Levesque; sister of the late Sr. Laurianne Levesque, D.H.S.; Alexis “Al” Levesque; Sr. Jeannette Levesque, D.H.S.; Sr. Louise Levesque S.J.A.; Alfred “Fred” Levesque; Eva M. Desrochers; Benoit "Ben" Levesque; Robert “Bob” Levesque; Roger Levesque and Roland Levesque.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St. Fall River. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, April 12 at 9:30 A.M. from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, No. Main St. Fall River at 10:30 A.M. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
