Cecelia (Costa-Leite) Kalil, 76, of Reed Road, Swansea, formerly of Kilburn St. Fall River, died Monday, January 16, 2006 at Southpointe Nursing Home, Fall River. She was the wife of the late George Kalil, Jr. and the companion of the late Robert Tallman. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Manuel C. and Gloria (Thomas Barboza) Leite, she lived in Swansea for the past 3 years. She was a member of the former Dover Club, Fall River and her hobbies included reading, needlepoint and dancing. She had worked in the garment industry as a presser employed by Craig Byron, Fall River many years ago. Her survivors include 3 daughters, Elaine Kalil Confoey(and her husband Dennis) of Fall River and Carol G. Reis, of Fall River and Cecelia M. Lavallee (and her husband John) of Swansea; a sister, Rose Hipolito of Fall River, 4 grandchildren, Heather A. Lavallee and John A. Lavallee, both of Swansea, Christian E. Tavares of Somerset and Atty. Colin Confoey of Providence. She was the sister of the late Manuel Costa Leite, Mary Santos, Gloria Howarth, Georgina Pope and Alice Costa Leite. She was the grandmother of the late Sherri Lee Reis. A committal service will be held Thursday at 12 noon in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours omitted.
