Carolyn D. Cote

October 14, 1944 — April 18, 2025

Fall River

Carolyn D. Cote, born on October 14, 1944, in Fall River, passed away on April 18, 2025.

She worked in a few offices as a bookkeeper and as an office manager, a good one at that, at Stafford Furniture. She then worked for many years, well over 25, at Furniture Wholesalers until they closed in 1997. Then, Steve at Modern Furniture convinced her to work for him in 1998 since rumors of what a good worker she was preceded her. She retired from there. Also, while at Modern Furniture, she found her calling to volunteer with hospice for 4 years.

Her hobbies included decorating her house, especially for each season and loved flowering. I can not say enough how absolutely PROUD she was of her house after rising from some rough times in her life from childhood on. She also loved going out to eat, dancing and drives up north and to Colt State Park with her husband, Ray, and just enjoying life.

She loved her cats Snowee, Boots, and Boo also. She loved watching her soap operas, listening to music and leaving messages to her friends of songs she would sing to them. I keep hearing from them on this.

A beloved member of her community, Carolyn was known for her engaging personality and her dedicated involvement in various Facebook groups, fostering friendships that transcended distances. Her daily “good morning” posts will be fondly remembered by her many friends, who cherished her warmth and connection.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Frizado, whom, after losing Frank she met and fell in love with, who ultimately would stay by her every step though her sickness, and also leaves her three daughters, Lynne Nosal, Lisa Sobolewski, and Debra Ericson and Ray’s daughter, her stepdaughter Rachel. Also surviving is her brother, Armand D. Cote, Jr.; her grandchildren, Nikisia Freeman, Zak Nosal, Shelby Partridge, Tristan Nosal, Claire Nosal, Zachary Martinville, Michael Macedo, Emma Sobolewski, Ethan Sobolewski, and step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Franklin Longmore, and her parents, Armand D. Cote and Delia J. Goff Cote.
