Carol L. Cote

On Tuesday, April 17, 2018, Carol L. (Caouette) Cote, 70, of Somerset, transitioned back home to heaven surrounded by her family. After eight years of battling first breast, then pancreatic cancers, her supporting angels shepherded her into the presence of God.

Carol graduated from Somerset High School in 1966, and married her high school sweetheart, Edward R. Cote.

She began her career in the banking industry, then worked at Ashworth Brothers. She then left work to dedicate herself to raising her family. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader at the Wilbur School and was a member of the PTA. She was also a member of the Somerset High School Athletic Boosters Club. She returned to the banking industry prior to retirement. In retirement she was also active in the Somerset Garden Club, the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Thomas More Parish and the New England Pet Assist Therapy.

In addition to being survived by her husband of 51 years, she leaves two daughters, Kendra Lychwala and her husband Michael , and Kerri Cote; a granddaughter, Sophie Lychwala; a sister, Jean Fernandez; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Maurice and Norma Cote, and nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Judith A. Levesque and the daughter of the late Gerard and Grace (Norton) Caouette.

Her family would like to thank Steward VNA & Hospice, MA General Hospital Cancer Center and St. Anne's Hospital Hudner Oncology Center for their compassionate and professional care.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St.Thomas More Church, Luther Ave., Somerset at 10:00 AM. Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery.
Visitation, Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. Flowers are welcomed or consider a memorial gift in Carol's name to St.Vincent de Paul Society at St. Thomas More Parish, 386 Luther Ave., Somerset, MA 02726
