Carmelina (Silva) Ouellette

Carmelina (Toots/Tootsie) M. Ouellette, 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Swansea on February 6th. She was born in Fall River, 1 of 8 children. Daughter of the late Jose B. Silva and Maria Augusta Camilo Silva.

Toots was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Louis. Survived by her sister Dee (Joseph) Ferreira, daughters, Sue (Larry) Jindra, Denise (Michael) Camera, son, Steven (Michelle) Ouellette, grandchildren Melissa (Robert) Francis, Kiel Jindra, Kelsey Jindra, great grandchildren Liana Rosa and Jaxson Francis. She also leaves many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Toots was a strong woman who loved life and everyone in it. She felt blessed to have such a large and loving family. She had a great sense of humor. Laughter came easy for her. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She was an avid book reader, enjoyed playing cards (understatement), painting, making puzzles, venturing to casinos (preferably Las Vegas- tagged on of her many trips to the west coast) and cheering on the Boston Red Sox.

Due to the current health requirements in our area, a mass service and celebration of life will take place at a later date.
