Carl H. Manchester

Carl H. Manchester, 84, of Fall River, husband of Barbara A. (Harley) Manchester, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017.

An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was employed by the Fall River Water Department at the Filtration Plant. He was a devoted family man and animal lover.

Besides his wife of 61 years, he leaves three children, Carl J. Manchester and his wife Denise of Swansea, Karen Karam and her husband Antoine of Tiverton and Donna Manchester of Fall River; grandchildren, Christopher Buchanan (Aimee), Carl P. Manchester, Sara Duarte (Jason), Heather Manchester, Ryan Furtado, Karlin Furtado, Eric Karam and Samantha Karam; great-grandchildren, Carl D. Manchester and Emma, Graceyn and Callen Buchanan and nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving of eleven children of the late John and Irene (Monroe) Manchester.

His funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery.

Visitation, Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Large parking area & barrier free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
