Bruce M. Souza

Bruce M. Souza, 67, of Westport, passed away August 22, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.

He was the husband of the late Marlene (Holland) Souza, the love of his life, with whom he enjoyed 48 years of marriage together.

Born in Fall River, a son of the late Manuel M. Souza and Aldina P. (Moniz) Souza. Bruce retired as owner and operator of Brumar Co., where he managed the kitchen at Duro Finishing Corporation in Fall River. Known for his passion for collectibles and his love of sports, Bruce was a devoted New England Patriots fan. In his leisure time, he enjoyed reading, watching movies, and cherishing moments with his granddaughter, Lily.

Bruce is survived by his three children: SMSgt. Jason Souza, USAF, Ret. (wife Jennifer) of Bossier City, Louisiana; SMSgt. Derek Souza, USAF, Ret. (wife Maj. Dawn Souza, USAF, Ret.)
of Surprise, Arizona; and Lisa Papoula (husband Karl) of Westport. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Lily Rose Papoula; his siblings, Gerri Gaskell of Westport and Carolyn Kiepler of
Rehoboth; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was also the brother of the late Angela Church and Louis P. Souza.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 1, from 12:00 P.M to 2:00 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.

There will be a funeral service during the visitation at 1:30 PM
