Brian James Valero, 49, of Fall River died Monday, January 29, 2007, at his daughter's Somerset home, following a long battle with cancer. He was the husband of Carol (Mello) Valero. Born in Somerset, the son of Patricia (Fournier) Valero of Tiverton and the late Joseph Valero, he lived in Fall River most of his life. He was employed by G. Lopes Construction, Taunton and East Coast Construction, Portsmouth. A member of New Hope Christian Church, Swansea, he volunteered his time to the construction of the church's recent addition. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, dirt bikes and motor cross. Besides his wife of 31 years and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Kelly Robillard and her husband "Ken" of Somerset; 3 brothers, Joseph Valero of Fall River, Keith Valero of Tiverton and Paul Valero of Florida; 5 sisters, Donna Cateon of Westport, Mary Texeira, Melissa Valero and Diane Valero, all of Fall River and Lorie Major of Maine; 2 grandchildren, Kasey Brian Robillard and Kaliey Kiara Robillard and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late David "Invader" Valero. His funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral service in New Hope Christian Church, 1436 G.A.R. Highway, Swansea at 11:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. Visitation, Thursday 6:00 to 9:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
