Brian P. Morrissette

Brian Paul Morrissette, age 60, of Westport, passed away, Friday, November 24, 2017. He was the son of the late Gilbert A. and Mary A. (Conroy) Morrissette of Westport.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son and best friend, Sean B. Morrissette (wife Whitney) of Tiverton, four siblings, David Morrissette (wife Phyllis) of Fall River, Michele Choquette (husband Ronald) of Westport, Timothy Morrissette of Fall River and Lisa Niemi (husband Jeffrey) of Rochester, his adored granddaughter and "little doll", Skyla, as well as his nieces and nephews, Timothy, Joshua and Patrick Sherman, Devyn Morrissette, Michael and Mary Niemi, and Sarah Ferreira.

Brian is a graduate of Westport High School and attended Bristol Community College. He began his career creating beautiful scrimshaw pieces, then went on to work in the jewelry industry for most of his career as a Master Machinist and expert jewelry finisher for various companies including Tiffany & Co. where he made final modifications on jewelry and was responsible for the culmination of many of their pieces. Most recently, Brian acquired his CDL license and worked for R&F Transportation of Taunton, delivering bulk mail for the United States Postal Service to their large distribution centers.

Brian enjoyed playing his guitar, cooking for others, and watching the N.E. Patriots with his brothers. He took great pleasure in the cars he owned. In addition to his exceptional artistic talent, he was skilled in most trades. If he wanted to accomplish a task that was new to him, he would educate himself until he become knowledgeable in that area. Brian will be especially remembered for his devotion and love for his son, Sean, and for the extreme fondness he had for his beloved dog, Cujo, "Mr. Dinky".

A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Beech Grove Cemetery, Main Rd. Westport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in memory of Brian, may be made to Forever Paws Animal Shelter, 300 Lynwood St. Fall River, MA 02721.
