Berthe (D'Amour) Brisson

Berthe (D'Amour) Brisson, 102, formerly of Sawdy Pond, Fall River, widow of Omer Brisson, died Friday, October 24, 2008. Born in St. Antoine Abbé, PQ, Canada, the daughter of the late Albee and Ada (St.Amand) D'Amour, she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of the former St. Jean Baptiste Parish. She was the mother of Jeanne LaFrance of Melbourne, FL and Sawdy Pond, Fall River, Aime Brisson of Somerset, Pauline Desrosiers of Tiverton and the late Paul Brisson; the mother-in-law of Philip LaFrance, Alice Brisson and the late Joseph Norman Desrosiers; the grandmother of Paul and Marc LaFrance, Michelle Puckett, Joanne Desrochers, Jacqueline Hernandez, Denise Woodcock, Michael, Roger and Mark Brisson, Mark, Paul and Monique Desrosiers and the late Gisele Andrade; the sister of Helene Methe, Cecile Laberge and Roch D'Amour, all of Canada and the late Leda Brault, Jeannette Lefevre, Diane Lachapelle and Real, Aime, Marcel and Clement D'Amour. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 11:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Sunday 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
