Bertha (Ramos) Rezendes

Bertha (Ramos) Rezendes, 87, wife of the late Lawrence Rezendes, entered into rest Saturday, February 6, 2016 . A native of Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Mercedes (Costa) Ramos. She was a hairdresser in Fall River for many years and was also an instructor at the former Fall River, New Bedford and Taunton Beauty Academies. After her retirement, she moved to Port Orange, Florida. She lived in Florida for 32 years before moving back to Fall River in 2013 to be closer to her family. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends. Her hobbies included crafts, and porcelain doll making. She leaves a daughter, Sandra J. Cunha of Rehoboth; a son, Lawrence Rezendes Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Fall River; six grandchildren, Scott Cunha, Jay Cunha, Tracy Rego (husband Brian), Kristine Lizotte (husband Russell), Michelle Campos (husband Michael), Lynn Anne Pineau (husband David); and four great-grandchildren.
