Bertha M. Martel

Bertha M. Martel, 84, of Lafayette Drive, Fall River, died Sunday, April 20, 2008. She was employed by Frito Lay and Fall River Fireplace Equipment and was a member of Lafayette Senior Citizens Club, Children of Mary of St. Anne Parish, Notre Dame Parish Women's Guild, Third Order of St. Dominic and Legion of Mary. She leaves siblings, Alice Chicca of Fall River and Hector-Leo Martel of Orlando, FL and many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Reul and Blanche (Gauthier) Martel and the sister of the late Jeannette Rioux, Louise Simard, Rose McCormack, Yvonne Fournier and Charles, Richard, Henry and Oscar Martel. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 11:00 am. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday morning prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 10:30 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA AND BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please do not send flowers.
