Bertha (Ernst) Banville

Bertha (Ernst) Ravenelle DeGagne Banville, 99, of Fall River, widow of Lionel Ravenelle, Napoleon DeGagne and Roland Banville, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014. A member of UNITE, she worked in the garment industry for 50 years. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Ponta Delgada Club and Tiverton Senior Citizens Club. She was the mother of Robert Ravenelle (late wife Patricia) of Connecticut, Paul Ravenelle (wife Rosemary) of Fall River and the late Lionel Ravenelle (wife Annette of Fall River); the sister of Florence Gomes of Florida. She also leaves 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews and was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Eva (Couture) Ernst. and the sister of the late Florida Lupachini, Doris Jolivet, Yvonne Frappier, Mildred Moss and Alfred, Alder and William Ernst. Her funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:30 AM at the Mausoleum Chapel of Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation and flowers omitted.
